Patrick Halter
- Executive Director, Real Estate
Pat is an executive director for Principal Global Investors and chief executive officer for the firm's dedicated real estate group, Principal Real Estate Investors. As head of real estate, he is responsible for overall global real estate strategy, new business development, and business management, including oversight of staff professionals located in the United States and Australia. As a 20-year veteran in commercial real estate, Pat’s expertise includes product and fund design, new business development, portfolio strategy and investment management. He also has substantial transaction experience originating and approving over $25 billion in investments for Principal Real Estate Investors and its clients. Pat chairs the board of Principal Real Estate Investors. He also serves as the chair of numerous other Principal Real Estate Investors subsidiaries. Pat joined the firm in 1984. He received an MBA in finance and a bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Wisconsin. Pat is a member of the Pension and Real Estate Association (PREA), the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association (CMSA) and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and serves on the Membership Board of the University of Wisconsin Center for Urban Land Economics Research. He also serves on the board of the National Association of Investment Managers (NAREIM).

Steven Graves
- Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer
Steve is a managing director and head of mortgage production and servicing for Principal Real Estate Investors. Steve directs mortgage originations and a mortgage-servicing portfolio that encompasses investment activities in more than 60 metropolitan property markets nationwide. He joined the firm in 1977 and from 1983 to 2000 was responsible for all facets of mortgage originations and underwriting. Steve moved to his current position in 2000. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Northern Iowa. Steve is a member and past chairman of the University of Northern Iowa Real Estate Education Department Advisory Council and presently chairman of the Commercial Board of Governors for the Mortgage Bankers Association. He is a former chairman of the Life Mortgage and Real Estate Officers Council.

Randall Mundt
- President and Chief Investment Officer
Randy is the president and chief investment officer of Principal Real Estate Investors. He is responsible for the development and execution of client investment strategies across all real estate quadrants, including investment pricing, performance and policy. Randy leads new product and fund design, the firm's dedicated real estate research group and the real estate equity portfolio management group. He joined The Principal in 1983. Randy received an MBA in finance from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in business from Iowa State University. He chairs the Real Estate Investment Committee and Client Strategy Committee for Principal Real Estate Investors. Randy is also a member of the Economic Resource Group at Principal Global Investors. He is a member of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE), the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers (NAREIM), the Real Estate Roundtable and the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). Randy is a member of the University of Iowa College of Business Financial Advisory Council.

Stephen W. Pick, CPA
- Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer
Steve is a managing director and the chief financial officer for Principal Real Estate Investors. He is responsible for all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for real estate investments. Steve oversees the business management and financial reporting processes, including pricing of new products and services, budgeting and ongoing profitability analysis. Prior to his current responsibilities, he managed accounting and financial reporting for equity real estate investments. Steve joined the firm in 1990. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics from Morningside College. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant and an active participant in the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Rod Vogel
- Managing Director - Equity Production
As Managing Director of Equity Production, Rod is in charge of asset management, development, acquisitions and dispositions for Principal Real Estate Investors. In this capacity, he oversees investment transaction activity totaling over $5 billion per year while also providing strategic direction on the assets managed by the firm. Rod also manages the project finance area for Principal Real Estate Investors. In this role he oversees the capital structuring of transactions for clients of the firm. Rod joined the company in 1986. He received a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of Nebraska. Rod is a member of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is also a voting member on the firms’ Investment Committee.

Robert F. Best
- Managing Director, New Business Development
Rob is a managing director, new business development at Principal Real Estate Investors, the dedicated real estate group of Principal Global Investors. Since joining Principal in 1984, Rob has developed extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate and has contributed in helping Principal achieve national recognition as a market leader. Rob has been responsible for strategic development, commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) issuance, portfolio management, advisory services, investment production, operations and overall financial performance. He currently serves as a member of Principal Real Estate Investors’ investment committee and strategic working group. From 2002 to 2004, Rob was with Washington Mutual as executive vice president of commercial real estate. In this capacity, he was responsible for building a national commercial real estate lending platform including the introduction and successful execution of a CMBS loan origination and issuance program. He rejoined Principal in 2005. Rob received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa and serves on the university's financial advisory council at Tippie College of Business.

Todd Everett
- Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Fixed Income
Todd is a managing director and head of real estate fixed income at Principal Real Estate Investors. In this capacity, he has responsibility for portfolio strategy and investment management covering all affiliated and non-affiliated commercial mortgage and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) clients. He directs a dedicated portfolio management team and also oversees various real estate high yield investment initiatives. He has been with The Principal for over 22 years, serving in a wide array of investment production and management positions. He joined the firm in 1985 as a mortgage underwriter and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska.
