Principal Real Estate Investors is a full-service operation. Many of the tasks important to successful commercial mortgage lending are handled by dedicated professionals, working exclusively for our company, handle many of the tasks important to successful commercial mortgage lending. This support makes the mortgage placement process easier for both the lender and borrower.

In-House Closing

To satisfy the needs of each individual client, our closers take a customized approach. in-house closing capability reduces cost, offers flexibility in arranging closing time frames, and streamlines the underwriting and title approval processes. Our in-house staff closes approximately 75% of our commercial loan transactions. Nearly all of our deals close on, or before, their established target dates. Our clients can rely on us for ease of closing and excellent delivery.

Loan Servicing

A servicing manager is assigned to each loan, and maintains a relationship with the borrower throughout the life of the loan. This allows borrowers to receive personal service from a dedicated servicing manager, have a resource for questions, and easily track payments, taxes, and insurance. The servicing manager has access to the local market underwriter and an entire team of specialists to resolve servicing issues.


Principal Real Estate Investors has a full staff of in- house “MAIs” to provide independent review of all appraisals.


A staff of engineers and environmental consultants handle technical issues regarding architectural design, engineering, construction, and operations of our commercial real estate investments.


A team of economic analysts provide timely research on special risks and opportunities in the marketplace. They also analyze and forecast economic trends providing Principal Real Estate Investors with the information it needs to assess successful transactions.
